WiseSplit ("we", "our", or "the app") is a free expense-splitting application. This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed when you use WiseSplit, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information. By using WiseSplit, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

WiseSplit does not require you to create an account or log in. We do not collect, store, or transmit:

• Your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal identifier
• Your expense plans, friend names, or payment amounts — all of this data stays on your device
• Location data
• Contacts from your phone
• Photos or media files

2. Data Stored on Your Device

All plans, friend names, expenses, and settlements you create are stored locally on your device only. This data is never uploaded to any server. If you uninstall the app, this data is permanently deleted.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy and security of the data you enter into WiseSplit.

3. Advertising — Google AdMob

WiseSplit is free to use and is supported by advertisements served by Google AdMob. Google AdMob may collect certain device information and usage data to serve personalised or non-personalised ads. This data collection is governed by Google's own privacy policies.

Data Google AdMob may collect includes:

• Advertising ID (GAID / IDFA)
• IP address and approximate location derived from IP
• Device type, operating system version, and app version
• Ad interaction data (e.g., ad views and clicks)

You can opt out of personalised advertising by adjusting your device settings (Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads; iOS: Settings → Privacy → Apple Advertising) or by visiting adssettings.google.com.

4. Sharing Features

WiseSplit lets you share settlement summaries and expense reports via WhatsApp and other apps installed on your device. When you choose to share, the content is passed directly to the selected app using your device's native share functionality. We do not transmit this content ourselves or store copies of it.

Please review the privacy policy of the third-party app (e.g., WhatsApp) you share to, as their terms govern how that content is handled.

5. Report Downloads

When you download or save a report to your device, the file is written to your local storage only. We do not access, transmit, or retain any copy of downloaded reports.

6. Children's Privacy

WiseSplit is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
